Unnecessarily lengthy. 30 hour candidate project. The issue is that despite never having used the software in your life, you are still expected to be able to respond to technical questions. Despite my configuring a solution that complied with their requirements, the interviewer kept asking me very specific questions. Veeva screens applicants solely based on a arbitrary exercise that could be easily learned on the job, in contrast to most companies where applicants are screened based on their character, willingness to learn, and professionalism.

What people are saying about Veeva Systems
I interviewed at Veeva Systems
I rescinded my application soon after the HR screening. For a 68k base salary plus 6k equity, there are five rounds of interviews and a 20–40hr take-home case study. No room for negotiation. Not worth it imo.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Veeva Systems (Jersey City, NJ).
Account/Operations Manager for speakers bureau. I interviewed twice for two different teams. Despite being offered both positions, I turned them down because they did not pay what I was looking for. They didn’t ask the typical questions and really tried to get to know you as a person, which made the interview enjoyable for me. 2-3 people on the interviews I had. Veeva appears to be a fantastic business to work for, offering excellent benefits that they actively promote to employees. The CEO seems to be very involved and concerned with the workforce.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Veeva Systems in Nov. 2022.
There were 3 rounds of interviews in total. 1. Zoom interview with campus recruiter. 2. Online coding assessment containing 3 questions. (feels like 2 medium and 1 hard personally) 3. There was then a final round of interviews lasting about three minutes. 5 hours long. (0. 5 hours of coffee conversations, 1 hour of technical questions, 1 hour of job history questions plus a technical manager interview, and 0 Response was fairly prompt following the final interview, which contributed to the overall positive experience with the five hours of behavioral interviewing with HR. I’m glad they gave a rejection call quickly as opposed to dragging it out and disappearing, as some businesses did.

Technical Phone Screen with a Senior Architect. posted a coding question after asking a few background questions I shared my thought process throughout the entire round, and with a few seconds left, I had the answer. One week later I get a generic rejection email. Kinda disappointed.

Though not immediately, it was done in a professional manner. You must dress appropriately, be prepared, and read up on what they do and their services before meeting them.

One hour-long technical session followed by a 15-minute introduction to EDP I have a simple leetcode question and a system design query. Interviewers are pretty chill.

General questions in the first round. Then I got an OA which was not so easy. 1 was an easy question, the other was hard. As I recall, it was based on arrays and DP.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Veeva Systems in Sep. 2022.
a four-hour, five interview process over zoom: first, a coffee chat with new hires; be prepared to vibe well with the young people here; they’re primarily looking for fit; next, two technical interviews; and finally, a meeting with the technical manager; I felt like this one was primarily to see how you think and approach problems. Personally, I think this is the most important interview. I spoke extensively about the technical issues I resolved and the lessons I discovered along the way. Try to avoid boasting, but rather highlight your accomplishments in a way that demonstrates your appreciation for how little you currently know and your desire to learn more from the manager. Pay close attention to how the manager responds to your stories, and be prepared to add more detail about how your experiences relate to what they are saying or how excited you are about the specifics of what they are mentioning at the moment. Finally, there was an interview with the human resources representative. He also asked some behavioral questions during lulls in our conversation, such as what interested you in computer science and what was your favorite class. There are a lot of behavioral questions here, such as what have been some of your life’s experiences that have shaped you, what are you most proud of, and what do you like to do in your spare time aside from coding? Then came questions about future plans for your career, such as where you see yourself in five years and why you chose Veeva (this is a crucial question).
