Is TutorABC the Same as iTutorGroup?

Online, there is some debate over whether TutorABC and iTutorGroup are the same business. Both brands belonged to Ping An Insurance Group, with TutorABC focusing on the Taiwanese market while iTutorGroup served as the parent company in China. However, as of 2021, the two businesses have separated, even though they continue to share some of the same previous policies, practices, and cultures.

Although the company was founded in Hong Kong, TutorABC’s headquarters are in Taipei, and its online classes are available to students in Taiwan and Japan.

IP Address and Browser Version

There is no connection made between the IP address of your computer and the type of browser you are using when visiting any of TutorABC’s and its subsidiaries’ websites. In other words, we will monitor your usage information, but you won’t be identified. We keep track of this data to help us improve the look and feel of our website by verifying your usage trends and website usage conditions.

We may gather information about your visits, such as traffic data, location data, logs, and other communication data, as well as the resources that you access and use on our website when you visit it directly or through links from other websites, or when you use one or more of our Services. How Much Does TutorABC Pay?

TutorABC teacher pay is based primarily on location. The pay rate for ESL instructors from the top 5 countries is shown below:

A teacher from America told us they were given a lower rate of $8. 50 (for 45 minutes) and $6. They lived in Thailand, but their contract stated that the rate would be adjusted if their location changed, so they were only charged 40 (for 25 minutes).

If you teach for five hours per week or twenty hours per month, in addition to the TutorABC base rate, you may also be eligible for completion and contribution bonuses. As you accrue more teaching hours and advance through the 10 pay tiers, your base and bonus rates rise (e g. 300 hours, 600 hours, 1,000 hours, etc., at 100 total hours ).

Each month on the 10th, TutorABC pays its employees’ salaries via wire transfer.

TutorABC hours are available 24/7. You must agree to teach six peak hours per week, including four on the weekends. TutorABC peak hours are between 7. 30-9. 30pm (China Standard Time), Monday to Sunday, plus 8. 30-11. 30am and 1. 30-4. 30pm on weekends.

You will also be eligible for the completion and contribution bonuses, which start at 5 hours per week and 20 hours per month, respectively, as long as you fulfill your minimum hours commitment.

For “juniors” (children), TutorABC English classes are one-on-one and last 25 minutes, while classes for adults are 45 minutes long and can be given either to individuals or to groups of up to 6 students. TutorABC teachers must be willing to teach both age groups.

According to reports, TutorABC English teachers’ booking rates are initially favorable but occasionally decline.

The TutorABC cancellation policy is quite lenient, allowing teachers to skip a lesson 4 hours in advance and to book vacations with a week’s notice through the teacher portal. There are still fines for lateness or no shows.

Beginning in April 2022, Tutor ABC’s new Student Absence Policy mandates that teachers conduct lessons even if no students arrive. Although no ratings are left in these cases, the standard rate is paid.

These are the TutorABC teacher requirements to apply:

    You must record your automated video interview for TutorABC in order to complete your job application. This can be taken whenever you are ready.

    Before the interview begins, you will have to run a quick TutorABC IT test. Make sure you have allowed access to your camera and microphone and are using a clean Chrome browser, as we had problems with too many extensions installed.

    The first section of the TutorABC interview consists of 7 questions: 3 scenario-based questions that require you to role-play how you would handle that circumstance in the classroom, and 4 questions about you, your background, and your personality. Five multiple-choice questions comprise the English proficiency test that is the second part of the interview.
