District Manager Interview

Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at JOANN Stores (Dallas, TX) in Sep 2022

Interview

I applied on 2 separate occasions 8 months apart. A few days after the 2nd submission I received an email from the TA team to set up an interview which was a routine question/answer checklist regarding my background. The initial conversation was actually pleasant as I truly felt like I was being heard and was confident that “good notes” were being recorded regarding our discussion. I was told that I would be moving onto the next steps and that I would be hearing from an Assistant to line up 2 interviews with HR and VP. After following up on 3 separate occasions I heard back 2 weeks later from HR and was told to keep an eye out from a specific individual as they would be reaching out to line up the interviews. Then, mysteriously, 5 days later I received a generic rejection email. Assuming my time was valued and being told by HR I would be progressing I was shocked and taken back. I guess it’s all meant to be as I would not want to work for a company who leads their candidates on for a month and can imagine how they actually treat their employees.
