For all exams, please bring the following:

Additional Appointment Requirements:

Audiological (hearing) examinations:

  • Please make sure your ears are clean and free of anything that could stop the hearing test from going as planned.

Ophthalmology (eye) exams:

Please keep in mind that some of our facilities don’t have a lot of waiting room space, and exams can last anywhere from 20 minutes to several hours, depending on how many conditions need to be looked at.

A VES contact center agent will forward your question to the appropriate facility. Once we receive direction from that facility, we will call you to follow up.

Yes. Service members and veterans with certified service animals are welcome to bring them to appointments. However, some of our providers and clinic staff may be allergic to the animals. Please let us know ahead of time if you plan to bring a service animal so that we can check with the provider and facility. We will make sure that you are scheduled with a provider who is okay with service animals coming with you to exams.
