The start of our application process is the same for all roles.

Your first call will be with a member of our talent acquisition team. This is your chance to find out more about Procore, the team, and the role. It also gives us a chance to learn more about you, your experience, what you want in a job, how your background fits the role, and how you can make a difference.

He or she will let you know if the first interview will be over the phone or video chat. These calls typically last half an hour and include the following three sections:

Introductions (5 minutes)

They will want to know more about you and how your skills and interests match up with the job and Procore’s goal to bring all construction professionals together on a global platform. Helpful tip: do your research to understand our company’s history, where we’re heading and how you can contribute. Get to know you (20 minutes)

The recruiter will ask you about your desire to be an SDR, your sales experience, and how you deal with being turned down. Think about times when you handled rejection well, showed how smart you were, and overcame problems. Anything that shows how you could use good communication skills and a positive attitude on the job

During this time, the recruiter will also make sure that everyone agrees on the role’s salary, benefits, and working conditions, such as hours and office location (hybrid, remote, or in-office). We want you to be very clear about what you expect from us right away so that we can avoid any problems that come up later.

Step 2: Hiring Manager Call – What to Expect

If you’re interviewing in the U. S. or Canada, after the recruiter screen call, you may move to the core stage of the interview process. However, for our international markets, a call with the hiring manager may be the next step. The purpose of the hiring manager interview is to dive deeper into your experience and professional background. Remember that you would not have gotten this far if you didn’t have some of the skills we’re looking for.

It’s likely that the person interviewing you will act like a project manager at a construction company, and you will act like a Procore SDR. This is an excellent chance to display your people and lead-generation skills. It’s important to know how to use the right industry language, ask the right questions, find out what the client’s problems are, set up a follow-up meeting, and deal with any objections that may come up.
