ApplicationI applied online.  The process took 3 weeks. I attended a Merit America interview in December 2021. The first interview was asynchronous and required you to record yourself responding to a question in under two minutes. The interview questions were pretty standard but left no room for error if a dog barked or a child cried. Second round was a simulation activity which was disappointing. I was expecting to have a conversation with the team and was called an “interview,” but not a single question was asked of me. Instead, I only had the chance to speak with the team as they pretended to be students in the mock activity. Wish I would have had more opportunities to connect. ApplicationI applied online. Overall, everyone I interacted with during the interview process at Merit America was very polite. The urgency shown between steps, however, was severely lacking. I waited nearly two weeks after my initial interview to learn whether I had been granted permission to proceed to the next stage of the interview process. The second step involved a series of hypothetical questions to determine how you would respond in various situations if you were hired. They suggest limiting your time to two hours for this section. I was then given another two weeks to prepare for an interview with team members. Again, everyone was very warm and welcoming. After this interview, a week had passed without any communication, so I sent an email to find out how my interviewing was going. Another week passed before I learned I had not been chosen to proceed to the last stage of the application process, which involved meeting with one of the co-founders. I was very excited about the possibility of working for this school, but after observing their utter lack of professionalism throughout the interview process, it appears I may have escaped serious injury. I was asked to describe how I would use my position and skills to recruit alumni of the school with the help of a business partner in order to be as successful as possible.

I couldnt get placed for a software development job out of this program. I tried until my money ran out and I had to take a job in the construction field. I still had to pay for the course, which wasnt exactly the understanding I had going in. Wasted my time and money and would not do it again. No way.Report

On Indeed, I discovered an IT job listing for Meritamerica. They want you to have a high school diploma, but a bachelor’s degree disqualifies you. I’m unsure whether this business is legitimate or a scam. I cant find any information online.
