To become a manager, I would have to do pretty much the same things I do now, like being driven to make the company better and help it grow.

At La Madeleine, you can not be a manager until you are 21 years of age. I wasn’t interested because I’m only 17 and don’t want to have to do the same thing for four more years before I can move up in the company.

He said I should go to college and get a degree, but you don’t need a degree to be a manager. But without a degree General manager is as high as one can go within La Madeleine.

I know I do not belong at La Madeleine, especially for the rest of my life. After this interview I know I need to leave even though I do not dislike working there. To be able to come back to La Madeleine and work at a corporation or as a manager, I need to finish college.
