Anonymous Interview Candidate in Bangalore

I applied online. I interviewed at Google (Bangalore) in Dec. 2021.

There were 5 rounds. The first was a test that was given in November 2021 and had an MCQ format. They let me know about additional rounds in January 2022, and the second round involved a phone interview. Basic questions related to OS, Networking and DBMS were asked. Because the interviewer kept asking follow-up questions, one needs to be extremely knowledgeable about the subject. There were supposed to be the remaining three rounds in a single day after the Phone screen round qualified. They didn’t even get in touch with me about it because I couldn’t qualify after the first round that day, so I waited all day.

Google process as always is pretty swift. Asking recruiters a lot of questions prior to an interview will be very helpful. They are there to help you in each step. After my “onsite” interview, I didn’t get feedback for a week. Everything went well during my first technical interview, but I got sidetracked during my onsite, and I think that’s what made my interview a failure. The questions are pretty generic if you are an admin. Learn the fundamentals of how VMs/containers, Linux, the web, and Python scripts all operate. The questions are all average(not too hard, not too easy). also be precise on your troubleshooting skills. Soft skills are also very important on this role!!.

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Google in Nov. 2020.

I applied for TSE role. I had the single technical interview and succeeded it. But then it came up to salary and benefits negotiation. And it seemed like Google could provide a midrange salary for the area. It was even less than my current salary. So I refused to proceed the hiring process. The amusing thing is that during the technical interview, there were some difficult questions, such as: – Deep Linux knowledge – Networking – Programming challenge That’s totally fine However, in my humble opinion, if you’re looking for the best candidates, you should be willing to pay more than the going rate.
