Technology Risk Consultant Interview

ApplicationI applied online.  The process took 4 weeks. InterviewNOTE: The title of this position is deceptive and it is not actually a consulting position; I interviewed at EY (McLean, VA) in December 2021. Your work will be auditing-based. If that’s not what you’re looking for, use caution. The procedure included a phone screening, a hirevue screening, and three manager interviews. The screening process was quick; I applied and heard from a recruiter the following day. The questions asked about why I should work for EY and why this particular role I was then given a link to finish a Hirevue evaluation. 2) The Hirevue consisted of three questions that were specific to the abilities or tasks needed for the position, followed by the obligatory hirevue puzzle games (arrange shapes, repeat the disappearing sequence, choose the image that best represents your personality). I’d have a pen and paper for the puzzle games so I could memorize things, but they won’t really affect your application, so don’t worry about them and concentrate on learning the qualifications they specify in the job posting. Since no one is aware of how the hirevue algorithm reads your facial expressions, answer the questions calmly and persuasively since they are probably being scrutinized by a human. so don’t worry too much as well. The final two interviews with the managers were behavioral in nature and consisted of very standard questions about my background, resume, ability to work with a team, and ability to manage deadlines. I passed the Hirevue and was informed two days later that I would advance to the final round. A week later, I received a text message with an offer. Interview Questions1. Describe your experiences with testing IT General Controls2. Describe a time when you leveraged technology to improve processes3. How do you handle tight deadlines?4. When did you use someone else’s skills to benefit a project? Describe a time when you used diversity in your team or managed it.
