The school called me for an interview after I submitted my resume for one of the two openings in fifth grade. They also informed me that they were hiring for a technology teacher when I met with the administration team. They wanted to consider me for the position after seeing on my resume that I had recently earned a master’s degree in technology education. We started talking about technology before even bringing up fifth grade!

Naturally, I hadn’t thought of any solid responses to questions about teaching technology to a class. But they must have thought I had some good responses because I was hired that day to teach technology.
