- Pay your bill immediately
- View payment history
- Monitor daily usage

Enroll in Recurring Bank Draft Payments
To save time each month, enroll in recurring bank draft payments. This automatically deducts your bill amount from your checking account around the due date monthly.
To enroll, download the Bank Draft Authorization form from the Dixie Electric Power website and submit it to any office location. You can also set up recurring payments online through SmartHub.
Consider Prepaid Billing
Dixie Electric Power offers a prepaid billing program where you pay ahead for estimated usage, then draw from that balance as you use electricity. This can help limit overspending.
To start prepaid service:
- Contact Dixie Electric Power to discuss program details
- Make an initial payment to establish an account balance
- Monitor usage and recharge your balance as needed
With prepaid billing, your power is only on when you have a positive account balance. It requires staying on top of payments.
Sign up for Level Billing to Spread Out Costs
To make bills more consistent, Dixie Electric Power customers can enroll in Level Billing which averages your last 12 months of usage to create a fixed monthly payment. To qualify, you must:
- Have an active account for 12+ months
- Have a zero balance – no past due amounts
Under level billing, your payment amount is reviewed and adjusted annually based on actual usage. Call Dixie Electric Power to enroll.
Avoid Late Fees by Paying on Time
Dixie Electric Power charges a 1.5% late fee on any unpaid balance after the due date, so make sure to pay your bill on time each month. Due dates vary based on your statement closing date and service area.
I recommend scheduling online payments a few days before your bill is due as a buffer. You can also set up autopay or account alerts through SmartHub to avoid missing payments.
Get Payment Assistance if Needed
If you are unable to pay your Dixie Electric Power bill in full, contact their office immediately to ask about possible assistance or payment arrangements. Some options include:
- Payment extensions or plans
- Applying for utility financial assistance programs
- Reviewing energy usage and conservation tips to lower costs
Don’t ignore past due or disconnect notices. Call Dixie Electric Power right away if you need help to avoid service interruption.
