Interview

I’m really upset with this process. I had an interview last week for this position and it went so well. The manager that interviewed me filled me with false hope by saying multiple times that it looked like I was definitely going to get the job and even told me several times to request her as my manager when I got hired so I could be on her team. They told me someone would call in 72 hours. 4 days pass, no call or email, so I reached out to a recruiter. No reply. Day 5 I get a generic email saying the position had already been filled. I really don’t think managers should be allowed to tell you things like “I definitely think/it looks like you’re gonna get the job” or mention “…when you get hired…”. That’s false hope, and it’s insanely unprofessional.
