There were 2 interviews for this role. The first was a screening interview, which was about 30 minutes. The second interview was scheduled 1 week after and lasted about 45 minutes. Interview

I was called for a first interview VIA Zoom (Covid protocols) and was asked to prepare a short presentation, as the job requirements include designing and presenting workshops to various groups. This lasted about an hour- the question portion being about 45-50 minutes and my presentation about 5-10. I was interviewed by 2 people, one taking notes and one asking the questions.I was called about a week later to say they wanted to interview me a second time. The second interview was similar to the first, on Zoom with 2 people. Same format– one asking questions and one recording answers. I was nervous but none of the questions were extremely out there or unexpected. Overall, it was a good interview experience and the interviewers made me feel comfortable.

Interviewed with two individuals (although they mentioned there’s typically three) The interviewer stated the interview process includes a formal (virtual – due to COVID) interview, reference check and then job offer. They mentioned on occasion they may require a second interview as well before moving to references. The interview questions are not the standard ones you find every job every industry asks. They’re very specific to mental health and very scenario-based. Definitely recommend doing your research on harm reduction, mental health assessments, and CMHA programs and services. Be prepared to be asked questions you did not expect.
