I am having difficulty figuring out how to approach questions, whether I am studying properly, or whether to expect case-study questions. I tried looking on Glassdoor but there isn’t anything available (I found one post), so I did get in touch with the recruiter a couple of times to get clarification, but I’d love to see if anyone has ever had experience interviewing.
- Review a site or a product (could be real or imaginative). Could you point out any privacy flaws? How to improve?
- Business analysts want to use data that contains personal information. Can you design a system to anonymize user data? how to do you determine what needs to be anonymized?

This afternoon, a recruiter called me about a Privacy Engineer position at Meta, which does not require a lot of coding. My responses to her questions about the privacy-compliant application were forwarded to the hiring manager. According to the recruiter, HM is apparently interested in hiring me based on my responses, and the interview process entails two rounds of privacy-compliant system design, one coding round with two medium-level questions, and one behavioral round. On medium/LC/educative, I couldn’t find much information regarding the privacy compliant system design. I’m wondering if anyone who works on the Meta privacy engineering team or who was recently interviewed for this position can assist me with the design of a privacy-compliant system.
