At SCE, you’ll learn how to talk to and make customers happy, who are some of the most important people in our lives. Training includes classroom and on-the-job training. You’ll learn about a lot of different things, such as products and services, workflow and rules, the best ways to interact with customers, and more.

  • You apply. Start the process by applying to the opening.
  • Application Review. It will be looked over by our team, and if your background fits, you will be sent to be tested.
  • Testing. As part of the process, you’ll be asked to take two tests. Look for an invitation from our Testing Department.

After passing both tests, you may receive an invitation to participate in an OnDemand Interview . This is a one-way recorded interview, where you will be asked a series of questions in video format.

If you are the successful candidate, a recruiter will contact you to extend the offer. Once you say yes, someone from the team will get in touch with you to start the paperwork for the new hire and walk you through the process.

Training is provided in a classroom setting in one of our contact center locations. There will be a series of knowledge-based pass/fail assessments throughout the 9-week training.

Finally, let me remind you that this job is in a contact center that is always busy and changing. You will be working with a wide range of customers to help them with their electric utility services by being knowledgeable, helpful, and dependable.

You will be handling approximately 80 – 100 inbound customer calls per day.

It takes 18 months to become a resident at Southern California Edison, and you have to finish it before you can apply for other internal jobs. The residency clock officially begins once you have completed all formal and/or requisite training applicable to the job. So, if the required training lasts for six months, the residency requirement starts when the six months are over.

We are responsible for handling emergency services 24/7.
