3. What distinguishes a professional fraternity from a social fraternity is that a professional fraternity elevates commitment and support to a higher level. We go through a lot of the same undergraduate experiences as members who are all interested in pursuing comparable pre-health goals. We dedicate ourselves to the community as well as to academics. However, DEM isn’t about all work and no play. We balance our demanding study schedule with a variety of social events and excursions over the course of a quarter.
8. It is imperative that you attend two of our three recruitment week events in order to join the fraternity. If you accept a bid, you must successfully complete the orientation process in order to join Delta Epsilon Mu as an active member.
9. We advise prospects to leave as much free time in their schedule as possible because there will be some time commitment required of them during the pledge process. While the Provisional Member Educators will make every effort to accommodate students’ schedules, prospective members should anticipate devoting a sizable amount of time to the fraternity.
