I was contacted by the CTA about interviewing for the position within two weeks of submitting my application. My interview was a panel interview conducted virtually with four interviewers via Zoom. There was no pre-interview phone screening. The interview lasted about 30 minutes and consisted of a sequence of questions: 1. Tell me about your most recent work role 2. Why do you want to work for the CTA 3. Three situational questions framed using the STAR method 4. What questions I had for the panel The interview was not necessarily difficult in itself, but the panel had a stern demeanor that made the interview seem tense. When I asked the panel what their favorite thing about working for the CTA was, they seemed to have a hard time deciding how to answer. I received a rejection email two weeks later.
