Senior DevOps Engineer Interview

Interview
I had an initial screening call with the technical recruiter. I must say that it was a great experience, as the technical recruiter really dived deep in to the technical details of the projects and evaluated the length and breadth of the relevant technical experience . As a next step, I was asked to complete an online assessment and inform the recruiter. To my disbelief, the recruiter never responded, despite 3 attempts to get in touch with her. I don’t want to name and shame her. I don’t mind if I didn’t clear the assessment, but the recruiter should at least have informed beforehand that in case you don’t clear the assessment, we won’t get back to you. Apparently, there are many reviews highlighting the culture of “ghosting” adopted by CT. Its such a shame going through the Philosophy videos of Mr. Kuty Shalev who lays emphasis on communication and professionalism, which unfortunately doesn’t reflect in their actions. A shambolic experience!!!

There was an initial interview followed by an assessment that’s fairly straight forward but you need a solid passing score for them to move you along. Then you meet with the COO and lastly, the President. Everyone was cordial and communicative about the interview timeline.

But if you dig further into their employee reviews on here you’ll see they jump from a very low rating to a very high rating overnight. Within the one star reviews, there is a clear pattern and allegations they incentivized employees to enter 5 star reviews to bury previous lower reviews…

For instance, “At my previous job, I was given the assignment of building a new website for our client.” Although the client requested a very specific design, we lacked the funds to hire a designer. I chose to continue working on the project rather than abandon it by searching online for free tools to help me build the website. I spent several hours looking before discovering a few websites with the client’s desired color scheme. From there, I created a website using those colors. ”.
