6 Tips to a Successful CIDS Interview
You’re interviewing for a job? Fantastic.

Chronological In-Depth Structured Interview, also known as CIDS, is a methodical interviewing technique. A CIDS interview seeks to review a candidate’s behavior and decision-making patterns over the course of their education and professional career in a methodical, structured manner.
The benefit of a CIDS interview is its capacity to identify and present those decision-making patterns in use and as they have developed over time. These patterns serve as a crucial predictor of what will happen if that candidate is hired. And you applied that new knowledge in the next opportunity. Tie that thread or those threads in the same way. Show your potential employer what you have learned. And that you’re capable of taking accountability, being responsible, and learning from your mistakes. That’s the mark of a leader. A-Players are leaders. This is a chance for you to demonstrate your leadership skills in a meaningful way.
5. Learn. Pay attention during the interview. When you are a manager and leader at the company smart enough to hire you, you can conduct CIDS interviews.
6. Celebrate. You will learn something about yourself during this process. That should reinforce you are an A-Player. Find a company smart enough to recognize you as one.
