PHS Cheer Tryouts: Interview Questions

While my previous position provided me with the chance to learn and develop at a comfortable pace in a more intimate clinical setting, I am now searching for fresh challenges and chances to further my knowledge in a larger hospital setting. I’m excited to try new things and pick up skill sets from working in a setting with a faster pace like this one.

For the past eight years, I have worked as a registered nurse and have enjoyed every day of it. I’ve used my passion for this—which is more than just a job to me—to propel me forward. I constantly work to ensure that I stay up to date with all of the most recent developments in my field, continue to further my education, and keep up with the latest in trends and technology. I relish the difficulties this job presents and seize every chance to develop.

I’m a driven individual who values the practical and interpersonal aspects of our field. Nothing makes me happier than assisting others when they are in need, in my opinion. Working with patients for the past five years in the medical field has demonstrated to me just how far attentive listening can go in promoting comfort. In my most recent position, I worked closely with patients in admissions, so I was frequently the first person they saw when they arrived and the last person they saw when they left, in addition to everything in between. During that time, I discovered that providing them with quality care and making sure they felt heard on their concerns were equally important to them. As a result, I assisted in creating a program to teach other nurses patient advocacy techniques.

I’ve discovered that meticulous planning and attention to detail are the best ways to cope with the stress of the job. Making lists and prioritizing my day’s tasks helps me find that even the seemingly impossible tasks become much more manageable. This also enables me to maintain composure and keep my attention on what needs to be done when unforeseen circumstances arise.

I excel in a variety of environments and situations, and I take pride in my adaptability. I really value teamwork because it frequently enables me to identify solutions to issues that I might not have considered on my own. I also enjoy self-motivating and am equally comfortable working alone.
