Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties. I worked as a phone advisor for business cards at CHASE. Basically, the primary responsibility was to consult with business owners regarding their routine card transactions.

What was the atmosphere like at CHASE? Employee: It was very fast-paced. That’s the best way to describe it. We each had a cubicle, which were called common business card holders, and that was pretty much it for the fast-paced environment.

CHASE Employee: My favorite aspect of working there was knowing that if I ever had a problem, all I had to do was call a number and someone would be there to help. The best part of working there was knowing that there was help because there were times when people called with questions that you couldn’t really answer.

CHASE Employee: The application was essentially just asking for basic information. Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process? They wanted to know everything, such as previous jobs. One of the managers conducted a one-on-one interview with the applicant, which was very intimate. They generally ask more situational stuff. It was a bit of a get to know you exercise to determine whether you seem like the kind of person who could fill this role.

What other pieces of advice do you have for someone looking for work? CHASE Employee: I’d just say be ready to work in a fast-paced environment and on the phone. They do offer both full-time and part-time shifts, so it just depends on how much time you feel like spending chatting with others. You learn a lot from them, so you don’t really need to enter knowing everything there is to know about credit cards. That’s pretty much it. Although it is a professional setting, you are not required to dress up every day. You can come in wearing what you want to wear.

How to answer JPMorgan Chase interview questions

You need to be ready to respond to behavioral interview questions as well as situational interview questions that highlight your leadership style, communication, and teamwork, among other skills, in addition to technical questions pertaining to the day-to-day performance of the job.

While situational interview questions are more hypothetical and ask how you would handle a potential situation in the future, behavioral interview questions ask you to give examples of how past struggles and accomplishments could be useful in a new position.

The appeal of behavioral and scenario-based interview questions is that they can be utilized in almost any workplace setting, from time management to interpersonal relationships. To formulate concise, in-depth responses to these types of questions, you can use the STAR interview method. Here are the four steps of the STAR interview method:.

  • Situation: Set the stage by explaining the situation.
  • Task: Describe your task or objective.
  • Action: Name a few of the actions you took to complete the task.
  • Results: Describe the results you achieved.
