I love the environment and the people are amazing. I like that it pays well to work hard and it has given me amazing sales experience.
They do not provide any base salary or benefits of any sort. It is solely commission based. I also have had to move away from home to work and knocking doors everyday gets old.

If you want to move up, you really need to get along with a small group of upper management people. Some of the smartest people in the company have told me that they don’t want to hire people who haven’t “drank the kool-aid.” They are going to change everything, which will make life totally unpredictable and unbearable. They are also going to pass over experienced people to promote Kool-Aid drinkers. This place is run like a cult or MLM, and they want a bunch of followers and friends. They don’t want anyone who will question the status quo or offer new ideas.

The managers will lie to you and string you along to keep you there. I have yet to see a single promise to me fulfilled. They then tried to make me take on an entirely different job than what I was hired for. The task had nothing to do with my job title, skill set, or career. I had no experience in the tasks.

There was a lot of pressure to work hard at the company I used to love. It felt like a family. That environment is long gone, and there isnt much to revere anymore.
Nepotism. Experienced Area Managers are being fired all over the place and being replaced by friends of the higher ups. There is a shift going on right now. People expect you to give up your personal life to make money, and if you ever question the way things are, you probably won’t have a job for long. If you dont embody the core values 24/7, dont expect any lateral movement. There are better pest control organizations to work for, and they pay much better.
