Video Transcript
Interviewer: Please describe your job title and primary duties.
Sam’s Club employee: I pushed shopping carts at Sam’s Club as a cart pusher.
Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Employee at Sam’s Club: Although I didn’t interact with customers frequently, I spent the majority of my time outside, so the weather was outside. Then inside, I’d say, there wasn’t a lot of communication. Maybe a manager would occasionally say, “Hey, go get some carts.” However, there was little interaction with the manager and cart pusher aside from that.
Interviewer: What was your favorite part about working there?
Sam’s Club employee: The benefits were reasonable given the nature of the work and the opportunity to work outdoors. I believe there was full medical, maybe. Perhaps… I forget, it’s been a while. I apologize. Definitely health and dental insurance. There were stock options. I was able to purchase company stock with the money I earned. There was vacation pay, I believe, yearly. I can’t think of anything else.
Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Sam’s Club Employee: The application process was online. They had a kiosk where you could fill out forms. The interview process was rather quick. It’s just your standard, straightforward inquiries like what you see yourself doing in so much time and how you can support the business.
What inquiries did the interviewer make during the hiring process?
Employee of Sam’s Club: Basically whenever I was available to work Additionally, I believe they also wanted to know if I could lift 50 pounds. Pretty much just if I’m capable of doing the job. If I could manage to arrive at work on time as well
Interviewer: What other tips would you offer to someone looking for work?
Employee at Sam’s Club: Be specific about the position you’re applying for.

Why Are You Interested In Working Here?
Given that I believe you provide your customers with excellent services, I would dearly love to work for this establishment. Additionally, the fast-paced environment here will enable me to advance in my career. Right now, I’m searching for fresh challenges, which this establishment will easily provide. I’m prepared to use every skill I’ve learned from working in retail to make this organization better.
How would you motivate a team member who seems discouraged to work hard?
You should suggest talking to them to learn more about their concerns and to find out if they have any health problems or other personal issues (which can cause them to lose motivation). Show the interviewers that you can listen well, and try to comprehend the problem’s source before attempting to solve it.
Then you can discuss different methods of motivating people, such as simply encouraging them with a kind word (or a harsh one), assisting them in making the connection between the team’s goals and their own, becoming personally involved in work to serve as a positive role model for them, etc.
What should I expect in my interview for the club pickup lead tomorrow? I’m already a freezer cooler associate.
