“Well, to begin with, you are given a profile of a fictitious nation. This profile provides details about the nation, its setting, its region, its issues, and its opportunities. You have a set amount of time to read through the profile, which if my memory serves me correctly was between 15 and 20 pages long, and you also have a number of individual and group tasks to complete. For instance, I was initially tasked individually with creating a list of recommendations that a Bank representative would give to a representative of that nation. The following task was a group assignment, where I had to gather with the other candidates I was in the room with to review our individual lists of recommendations and come up with a single one based on priority and the various groups/types of advice that we were asked to give. The discussion lasted for roughly an hour, and we only had 20 minutes to present it. The next task was an individual one that lasted for 14 minutes. For this one, we had to create some notes for a hypothetical country’s Finance Minister before moving on to the group task where we had to combine all of our individual recommendations into one detailed list of notes. When the “target” of those notes finally entered the room, we were all required to present the contents of the notes to the audience for 30 minutes. After that, there were several additional inquiries that we needed to respond to. ”.
