Unfortunately, I won’t have a phone while I’m abroad for winter break (those damn international rates are sky high!)… so I’m hoping to hear something before or after that week, otherwise I’ll get the voicemail when I return. This may sound silly, but did we have to apply for Plan II for the BHP? I thought they were separate.
@hnef27 My son got a phone call. I think that’s how everyone finds out. We received the official letter in the mail a week or two later. His status has never updated. He was acknowledged by Plan 2, but BHP is still visible in the review. Good luck! I hope you get good news!.
Consider the Texas CSB program
An integrated honors degree program between the Department of Computer Science and the Canfield Business Honors Program is called Texas Honors Computer Science and Business. Texas CSB offers a demanding undergraduate program lasting four years that is designed to prepare students for top technology careers.

Canfield Business Honors Program (CBHP) at UT-Austin’s McCombs School of Business
Competition for Canfield BHP is as competitive as ever. 244 out of 1828 applicants were accepted, making for a class size of about 120. Approximately 500 applicants receive alumni phone interviews. After a rigorous committee review procedure, which I go into more detail about in this post, half of the interviewees will be admitted.
The average class rank was top 1. 8% and ACT 34 or SAT 1540. These data are consistent with their admitted profiles over the previous ten years. BHP has been and will continue to be extremely competitive, on par with the nation’s most elite universities. If your SAT score is less than 1500 or you don’t place in the top 5%, it’s extremely unlikely that you will be admitted even if you are interviewed. On rare occasions, students who were granted a BHP interview will ultimately be rejected by the regular McCombs.
N = 38 clients who have attempted CBHP applications. Six have gained admission among twenty-one who receive phone interviews.
