Interviews at The TJX Companies, Inc.
I applied online. I interviewed at The TJX Companies, Inc.
First is a Virtual interview recorded and timed. If you do well on this then you have to take an IQ test to identify patterns. If you pass that, you go onto a group timed exercise which recruiters watch. If you pass, you will be invited to the final round, which are back to back, one on one interviews with different recruiters. Very competitive.

You take an online test that will take about an hour, you then have a hirevue recorded interview with basic questions in addition to some allocation examples, you then fly out to their corporate office for day that includes an individual assignment, group assignment, and three separate interviews.

Quick responses/feedback between steps in the interview process.. if you do your research and are prepared you should do just fine. Took less than a week to get through three simple steps then for the final step I went in two weeks later for an assessment.

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at The TJX Companies, Inc. (Framingham, MA) in May 2018
First there was a online HireVue interview, in which you did a small allocation exercise and answered questions so that they could gauge what youre like as a worker and a risk taker. This company was huge on risk as a part of the interview process. Next was an assessment day, where you and about 8-9 other applicants were introduced to the company through a presentation, followed by a group allocation exercise, a question panel with a current analyst and then 4 rounds of interviews with different members of the hiring team. It seems like its gonna be a long day but it goes by quickly.

Initially I had to complete an online interview that was all virtual with recorded responses. The next step in the process was an on-site assessment day where we did an individual and group allocation exercise. Following these were 4 individual behavioral based interviews.

I applied through an employee referral The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The TJX Companies, Inc. (Framingham, MA) in Apr 2018
This was a pretty straightforward interview. It took about 4 hours, with three sections. The first section was made up of the recruitment team explaining the job role, while the next section consisted of a 30 minute case study individually which then was reviewed with fellow interviewers and made to come to a consensus. This was a little more difficult due to the nature of this case study having many tricks and possibilities. The third portion consisted of three one-on-one interviews which went well with great conversation. Overall, very long process of interviewing compared to other larger companies.

A: I had an internship with Buckle that made me realize how passionate I was about product and the influence that I could have on sales. One thing I took away from my internship is how to build a merchant mindset, something that is really important working at TJX. This basically means being able to put your personal opinions on product aside and think about it from the eyes of the person who is going to be buying it and that their opinion will probably differ from your own.
A: Every day is different! currently, I’m an analyst for Marshall’s in the activewear and swimwear department. I start my week by analyzing how business was the previous week (Top vendors, best selling styles, and what geographic parts of the country performed the best). Then I use this information to come up with a strategy to distribute the awesome products that the buyers buy to the stores and I spend the rest of the week executing this strategy.
A: My favorite part of working at TJX is how close I get to be to the product and being able to go into our stores and see that the product is on the floor because I chose to send it there! It’s so rewarding every week to see your department increase sales from last year.
