You can use this guide to learn how to get ready for behavioral interview questions at Amazon. Based on our experience with thousands of candidate interviews and coaching sessions (conducted both while we worked at Amazon and after starting Day One Careers), we have developed our recommendations.
We provide a list of approved Amazon interview questions at the end of this guide, but we strongly advise reading it all. Although we cannot promise you a job, following this advice will increase your chances of receiving an offer. We advise you to save this guide as a bookmark and use it as a resource as you get ready for your Amazon interview.
This manual was written by Day One Careers co-founders Evgeny Bik and Gayle Gallagher (GG). GG worked for Amazon for five years in the UK as a senior leader for Prime Video and Amazon Fresh. Evgeny worked for Amazon for more than three years in Europe as a senior leader in Amazon Launchpad and Amazon Devices. GG and Evgeny also served as hiring managers and interviewers for their teams and affiliated companies.
GG was also an authorized Amazon Bar Raiser, a qualified decision-maker who had the ability to override the hiring manager during the Amazon interview process. Before working for Amazon, GG and Evgeny held positions in multinational tech, FMCG, and retail businesses.
Last but not least, Evgeny worked as an eCommerce lead in IMMEA (Apple’s developing markets organization) for a year after leaving Amazon.
